This cool toned portrait is the third piece in my developing series on sex and self love - and the very complicated relationship between the two. It is inspired by my journey to recenter my sex life and desires around my own pleasure and satisfaction instead of revolving around those of my partner. It is all about learning to give without surrendering the expectations to also receive.
Valuing my own comfort and pleasure - mentally, physically and sexually - has not been easy for me in the past and I created this piece to celebrate my progress while honouring the struggles and traumas I encountered to get here.
I hope this piece serves as a reminder to the caregivers and empaths and lost lovers out there that your happiness and pleasure deserve to be a priority. You deserve to be a priority.
