UNAPOLOGETIC SELF CARE
I have a tendency to underappreciate my body and all that it does for me. I demand a lot of it, taking care of others, but fail to respect my own needs for rest and understanding.
I created this piece to reconnect with my body and celebrate it. I wished to celebrate my curves and bumps that are all part of the magnificent vessel that connects me physically to nature and art and the world all around me.
This artwork is a reminder to myself that my body deserves my love, patience, forgiveness, and care.
And I do not need to apologise to anyone or any to-do list when I need some rest.
